Florian Rosaries

What inspired you to start this business?

One day, I had a rosary break in my firefighter gear. I realized I need something that could handle the rigors of firefighting. I knew paracord wouldn't cut it, so I started making them out of Kevlar and stone. These materials will not burn nor melt. I wanted to make rosaries for men that can handle any trial a tribulation a man could put it through.

How does your faith shape your work?

By spreading devotion to the numerous forms of the rosary (Brigittine/Franciscan, etc.) and approved chaplets that people may not know about to increase their prayer life. A portion of the proceeds go to buying sacramentals to give away to those who might need them.

What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?

Saint Florian, who the company is named after, is the patron saint of firefighters. At his martyrdom, he was to be burned at the stake when he said, "if you light that fire, I will ride the smoke and flames to Heaven." Aside from the rosary, the rosary of sorrows is a favorite.

What's one thing you'd like customers to know?

Our products are designed to withstand anything you throw at them such as structure fires and wildfires, car wrecks, technical rescues, hazmat incidents, airborne jumps, combat, and everything in between. A friend I gave a rosary to was wearing it when he was involved in a very serious car accident that he should have died. Because he was wearing it, Mary kept him in the car and survived with only a couple of cuts on his arm. Rosary intact.
