MEET THE OWNER

What inspired you to start this business?

The daughter of serial entrepreneurs and innovators, you could say it was in my blood to start a business at some point in my life. After working in eldercare for nearly 10 years, I started to see ways I could better use my gifts to support those living with dementia by making sure that our professional care partners have the knowledge and support they need to provide the best care possible.

How does your faith shape your work?

My faith helps me always see the dignity of the person before me in ways looking beyond the diagnosis, the suffering, the pain, and into the eyes and heart of an individual. In a profession where the beauty of our elders is attacked due to regulations guiding senior living and the assisted suicide bills, my faith shapes how I can advocate for the vulnerable, the suffering, for our elders.

What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?

After years of avoiding a spiritual friendship with St. Theresa of Avila and Hildegard of Bingen. I have been drawn to these two Saints more and more over this last year, and have found her to become someone on my spiritual advisory board.

What's one thing you'd like customers to know?

I believe strongly I can't teach my craft unless I am also practicing my craft. Thus, my work is a reflection of both my work as an educator, but also an artist providing direct programming for those living with dementia and their care team.
