ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Undoer of Knots is a full-service accounting and business services firm that helps individuals and small businesses — both for-profit and nonprofit — make sense of their finances. Your business would benefit from a trusted CFO, controller, or accountant, but you simply can’t afford to hire someone full-time or even part-time. What are you supposed to do? Throw your hands up? Bury yourself in receipts? Struggle through and hope you did things just good enough to escape the eye of Sauron — oops, I mean the IRS? No. There’s a better way — and for a fraction of the cost. Join forces. Build your fellowship. Let’s journey together, uniting our talents to build the Kingdom and serve our fellow pilgrims.

MEET THE OWNER

What inspired you to start this business?

I was in the middle of a 54-day Rosary novena, walking down the street, wondering, “Is there such a thing as the perfect company?” A place that does good in the world, treats its employees like human beings, and isn’t a total administrative mess. As I thought about it — and about my experiences throughout life — I heard a delicate voice within say, “No. But you can help."

How does your faith shape your work?

My faith is at the very core of my being. It shapes everything I do — from when I wake up in the morning to how I structure my day. Naturally, that flows into my work as well, as I’ve begun to embrace work as it was intended: a good through which we encounter Our Lord, serve others, and provide for those in need — right now, that’s my wife and kids!

What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?

Our Lady, Undoer of Knots.

What's one thing you'd like customers to know?

I help my clients by taking something they either aren’t confident in or don’t have time for and turning it from a pain point in their lives into something they don’t even think twice about. Imagine this: you’ve got a business. You go through the year feeling okay — maybe even confident — that you're keeping track of everything. You’re growing your business, serving your clients, and doing your best to keep your books in order. Then January comes. The calendar flips and suddenly you're thinking: I have to send out 1099s. I have to file my business taxes and then my personal taxes. I should probably check in with my accountant. So you do. You email your accountant — and what do they do? They give you homework. As if you weren’t already busy enough. “Please complete this 12-page questionnaire, send last year’s tax return, your year-end financial statements, and a list of vendors you paid.” And you’re thinking: Why am I doing all this work? Isn't that why I have an accountant? So you postpone. You procrastinate. This financial homework hangs over your head, slowly draining your energy. Eventually April arrives — and now the deadline pressure is suffocating. Same tasks, but now with stress, urgency, and anxiety on top. There has to be a better way, right? Yes — there is. What if your accountant stayed in touch with you all year? What if they collected what they needed as you went along? What if they served you, were available to you, and made your life easier — not harder? Sounds pretty great, doesn't it? Maybe even too good to be true. Well… not anymore. My business has impacted clients most by giving them freedom. They have companies to run, families they want to spend time with, and goals beyond becoming accounting and tax experts. For example, one successful business owner used to spend every Saturday morning catching up her books — paying bills, organizing documents for taxes, and managing financial tasks. Instead of taking a weekend trip, being with her family, or simply living life, she was stuck in the office trying to stay afloat. Eventually, feeling burned out, she decided she needed a trusted partner — someone who could help her get her Saturdays back. Now, not only does she have more time for the things that matter, but she’s able to pour that renewed energy into growing her business. She’s thriving — not just financially, but personally.
