ABOUT THE BUSINESS

What inspired you to start this business?
As a wife, mother, and lifelong Catholic, I know every parent hopes their children will grow up with a lasting love for the faith. Through my own pilgrimages, I discovered that visiting the places where the saints actually lived made the Catholic faith come alive in a way that books never could. That experience inspired me to create Divine Sunshine Travel and PRAYcations™—intentional Catholic pilgrimages that help families encounter the saints, deepen their faith, and make memories that continue shaping them long after they return home.
How does your faith shape your work?
My Catholic faith isn't just part of my business—it is the reason my business exists. As a Catholic wife and mother, I understand the desire to pass on the faith to the next generation. Through my own pilgrimages, I discovered that encountering the places where the saints lived and where Scripture unfolded made the Catholic faith come alive in a profound way. That belief shapes every PRAYcation™ I design, helping families grow closer to Christ, strengthen their relationships with one another, and create memories that continue shaping their faith long after they return home.
What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?
St. Bernadette – I've loved St. Bernadette since I was 11 years old. Her humility, simplicity, and unwavering trust in God have shaped my own faith in countless ways. Visiting Lourdes and later praying before her incorrupt body in Nevers only deepened that connection and inspired my passion for helping other families encounter the saints. Favorite Scripture: Psalm 34:8 — "Taste and see that the Lord is good." This verse beautifully captures my heart for pilgrimage. I believe there is something profoundly powerful about encountering the people and places of our faith in person. Faith isn't only something we study—it's something we experience.
What's one thing you'd like customers to know?
Travel is simply the vehicle. Helping families grow in faith is the destination. Every PRAYcation™ I design is built around that purpose. I don't believe a pilgrimage is just another vacation—I believe it can become a defining moment in a family's faith journey. I treat every itinerary as if I were planning it for my own family, thoughtfully choosing each destination and experience with purpose. I believe encountering the saints in the places where they actually lived, served, and are remembered makes the Catholic faith come alive in a way that books alone never can. My hope is that every family returns home not only with unforgettable memories, but with a deeper faith, stronger relationships, and hearts transformed by the journey.

Where is God inviting you to trust Him more deeply?
At Lourdes, millions of pilgrims come seeking healing, hope, and a deeper encounter with Christ through the intercession of Our Lady. Whatever you're carrying today, remember that God is always at work—even in ways we cannot yet see. Place your intentions in His hands and trust that His grace is enough.
