What inspired you to start this business?

After I became a mom, I felt lost and unprepared. Because I didn't know what I didn't know, birth hadn't gone to plan. Furthermore, I had been fed the lie that I could "have it all" - that motherhood wouldn't challenge my identity and change me to the core. I also thought that being changed was bad, that it was only loss. ​ After years of healing and learning and growing, I have come to love the self-gift that motherhood requires, even if it is still challenging every day. This growth that I have experienced and accompanied friends through has spurred me to become a birth educator, birth doula, and postpartum doula.

How does your faith shape your work?

Over time, I have come to understand that pregnancy, birth, and motherhood are such blessings because they bring you to your knees. My faith has allowed me to surrender all to God, even and especially when I can't see the way forward. I work with my clients to prepare them for birth and parenthood, but also encourage them in prayer and trust in God, as that will serve them better than any birth preparation could.

What's one thing you'd like customers to know?

I work with people with all sorts of birth plans! You don't need to be a "crunchy mom" or giving birth in a hospital to work with me. I want you to feel confident and informed making the decisions that you feel are best for your family.
