What inspired you to start this business?

When I was a real estate sponsor, many investors would ask if they should invest with us, to which I replied, "I cannot tell you that. There is a conflict of interest. You should ask your advisor." A common response was, "my advisor does not understand these types of investments." I wanted to use my experiences as a professional investor and a real estate sponsor to be the resource these investors need.

How does your faith shape your work?

My Catholic faith is integrated into everything that I do, including my business and investments. As a steward of the financial resources God has entrusted to us, it is important that Catholics not invest in things that contradict our faith while also investing in ways that promote Catholic values. My goal is to help my clients find alternative investments that are consistent with this belief while also achieving financial returns.

What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?

St. Joseph is my favorite saint as he is the model for what it looks like to be a husband and father who is faithful to God. The story of Peter getting out of the boat and trusting Jesus to walk on water is one of my favorite Bible stories. Raising a young family and running a business can be uncertain at times, so this is a good reminder that we need to just step out of the boat and trust God.

What's one thing you'd like customers to know?

Investing in non-traditional investments requires knowledge and experience that is different than traditional investments (such as stocks and bonds). By being a resource for my clients, they can rely on my experience and knowledge without having to do it alone. By providing investment research, due diligence, and consulting for independent RIAs and their clients, I help them make more informed decisions when investing in alternatives with a values-aligned perspective.
