What inspired you to start this business?

I built my career helping businesses solve for the problems that didn't fit cleanly into anyone's inbox. Technology decisions, operations design, and strategic planning, all aimed at helping the business become what it was trying to be. I started this practice because I like that kind of work: figuring out what is actually wrong, making the problem intelligible, and helping leaders design a better way forward. I wanted to bring it to my Catholic Community especially (more on that below).

How does your faith shape your work?

I believe all work is an act of subcreation, of participation in God's creation and fulfilling our original calling to go out and subdue all things. In shaping the world through work, we can grow closer to God and bring others to him. For business owners, this is especially true, as they must consider not only the world and their own circle, but their employees and customers who depend on them.

What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?

I have two saints that I have particular devotion towards: St. John Henry Newman, as one of the greatest writers of the English language bar none, and St. Josemaria Escriva, who taught me that being faithful in the small things of work yields great fruit when it comes time to harvest. “Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men.” Colossians 3:2

What's one thing you'd like customers to know?

I don’t start with a predetermined solution. I treat each case as a unique opportunity to help bring out the unique strengths of my clients. If you come to me with a technology problem, I’m not automatically going to recommend new software. If it looks like an operations problem, I’m not going to automatically prescribe a new process. My job is to understand what is actually happening first, then recommend the change that makes the most sense... even if that means buying less, changing something completely different, or leaving something alone.
