What inspired you to start this business?

As a young single professional starting out my career, I wanted to be proactive with understanding how to manage my finances with the utmost intentionality. This was foreign to me because no one in my immediate or extended family ever worked with a financial advisor. What I learned very quickly was that there were steep barriers to entry that kept me away from gaining access to sound and prudent advice, i.e., hard asset minimums. My goal has always been to try and give sound and prudent advice to those who want to be good stewards of their finances, without asset minimums, and instead a subscription-based planning arrangement. This allows the clients to get the advice they desire and me to keep my business lights on and my family cared for.

How does your faith shape your work?

My faith inspires my work by reminding me that everyone I meet should be treated with the utmost respect, dignity and care. I may not be able to help everyone, everyone may not align with my philosophies, and that's okay. At no point do I judge others for where they're at financial, what they've done or do with their money, or how they live their life. I am simply here to provide guidance and advice as a non-emotionally tied person to their financial or personal world. If I can help evangelize along the way, that's an added benefit.

What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?

My business's patron saint is Saint Michael the Archangel. I chose him as the protector of my business because it is too easy in the corporate arena to fall victim to temptation, greed, and judgement. This leads into my favorite scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." Everything we have and are blessed with, even our trials, are from our Lord and Savior above. All of our failures are by our own doing. I believe the sooner we can acknowledge that the sooner we find peace in this crazy world.
