What inspired you to start this business?

My journey started at Smith Barney, where I got my first real taste of equity investing - and I was hooked. There's a common misconception that investing is simple: throw your money in the S&P 500, hold on, and you're set. But that misses the real work involved. I've always approached the market as a collection of individual businesses rather than one big monolithic "stock market." Think of it like a grocery store - the shelves are stocked with both healthy choices and junk food, often side by side. Figuring out which is which, and getting better at that skill day after day, is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the job. That mindset is really what pushed me to build this business.

How does your faith shape your work?

My Catholic faith comes first, before anything else — including this business. Everything in this industry, the markets, the money, all of it, will pass away. Keeping that truth close keeps me from getting swept up in the greed this business can breed. It's what keeps me honest with clients, patient with decisions, and grounded when things get noisy.

What's a favorite patron saint or scripture?

St. Joseph Sirach 1:1 - "All wisdom comes from the Lord, and is with him forever."

What's one thing you'd like customers to know?

Equity investing is difficult, and we understand that we do not know everything. What we are here to do is seek out high-quality companies and be good stewards of our clients' assets.
