HOW IT WORKS

Mosquitoes locate hosts by detecting body heat, carbon dioxide, and skin odors. When the Homesteader’s Hearth Mosquito Repellent Candle is lit, its repellent oils and light smoke help interfere with mosquitoes’ ability to locate people nearby. Repelled and confused by the blend of smoke and natural oils, mosquitoes may have greater difficulty detecting the carbon dioxide, lactic acid, and other cues produced by humans.

HOW TO USE

1. Place the candle outdoors on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.

2. Keep it away from children, pets, foliage, and anything that can catch fire.

3. Light the wick and allow a steady burn to develop.

4. Position the candle near the activity area, preferably upwind so the scent moves across the space.

5. Never leave the burning candle unattended.

6. After extinguishing the candle, allow the vessel and wax to cool completely before replacing the provided lid for storage and future use.

The metal container may become hot during use. Do not touch or move it while burning. Do not use indoors or in enclosed areas.
